It is no mystery that D.C. has endless amounts of things to do. From visiting the Smithsonian museums to taking pictures in front of the tidal basin there is multiple days full of activities in D.C. I am not the expert tourist guide, but I will let you know a couple of my favorite things about D.C. First is the food. I already talked about my favorites in Georgetown (see food page), but D.C. has a lot more options. The food trucks that line up in the mall are all very tasty and it should be your goal to try at least three. You won’t be upset. Also, there are plenty of restaurants around D.C. to eat from, but be sure to check out Founding Farmers and D.C. Taco. Next you are probably thinking you want to see some museums. I do not blame you, but I think museums are boring. BUT there is an interactive spy museum which is not your ordinary museum so if you are like me then check it out. Once you are tired and bored of museums you should rent a bike to see all of D.C. Walking can be tiring so get a bike (or the new motor scooters) and check out the White House and all the different memorials. Now to the fun stuff.. Sports! Depending on when you are in D.C. you need to go see a game. The Nationals, Wizards, and Capitols all play in D.C. Each of them have very competitive teams that have been in the playoffs regularly in the past couple years. You can see stars like John Wall, Bryce Harper, and Alex Ovechkin play up close. Going to see these games have easily been some of the highlights of my time in D.C.
